In the second book of the trilogy, Legend is rethinking what he did and wondering if he can get a second chance. Scarlett’s licking her wounds and hoping to rebound from how Legend left her. Can they forget the past and live for the future?

Much like the first one, there isn’t much on the romance side but there is a big story being built. March is setting up a big conclusion and I can’t wait to see where It leads us.

There are times when I get a little annoyed with Scarlett and how she gets so depressed after what happened. They had one night but she’s acting as if her world is coming to an end. But it gets redeemed by Legend because his swoon factor jumps up 100%.

I like Scarlett’s friends in this book because they are funny, caring, and will do anything to help her out. I like a story that has more than 3 characters and March did a great job at creating characters and their background without spending so much time doing it.

There is a cliffhanger at the end of this one so be warned. It’s bigger than the first one and you will definitely be wanting the next book with no waiting.

n this next book of the record series, we meet back up with Savannah as she is starting her new job and moving in with Easton. She thinks she has it all but Lucas comes back into her life and challenges everything.

***contains minor spoilers***

I am not completely sold on Lucas in this story. I know I may be in the minority. i don’t like how they got together and how he treated her before they did. Yeah I get that he was hurting and all that, but he was just mean to her at times and it bothered me that she just shrugged it off and was like oh well. Also, when she does leave Easton like she just goes right to Lucas not at all considering Easton’s feelings. I hope we get to see another book with Easton getting his HEA.

There are times when Lucas redeems himself and I can see why Savannah loved him. When they are together he is the perfect boyfriend(so to speak). Savannah is at the age where she doesn’t know what she wants for her life (something we can all relate to). Her indecisiveness annoys me at times and it really took me out of the story.

Because of the issues that I had with Lucas it took my excitement from getting another dive in the series. I just don’t like how Savannah handled the situation but to be fair, I don’t like love triangles when there is cheating involved.

Review

Meghan March’s new trilogy is going to keep you wanting more. Legend starts off with the man trying to clean up the image of his bar with the reluctant help of Scarlett.

Scarlett has her own bits and pieces going on. We get to unravel each layer she has with each passing chapter. On the surface she appears to have it all but we see that there is more to her story. Same goes for Legend and I can’t wait to see what will happen next.

The chapters are quick and short and sometimes I don’t like it because the pace feels like it’s all over the place. I think some of the chapters could have been combined and i think it would have helped. Another thing that I wasn’t a big fan of is that there is a little bit of a lag about 60% in the book. I think March was trying to build up to something bigger but I was a little disappointed that nothing huge came at the end. I hope that it will be bigger in the next two books.

There is a small cliffhanger. Just enough to make you want to come back for the second book, but not enough that will have you cursing out March’s name. My favorite kind lol
